So you have a new product, you have just drafted a very good
ad copy and you're ready to start your successful ezine
advertising campaign.
Stop for a moment! Don't ruin your advertising campaign
and kill your product!
What am I talking about here?
Don't you remember? Ezine advertising. Messages sent
by the ezine publishers to the subscribers' inboxes.
However ... what if the messages do not reach the
intended final destination?
Does it matter how good is your ad copy?
Does it matter how good and useful is your product?
NOPE!
These days the Internet Service Providers conduct
a fight they have lost from the very beginning. In addition
to the fact that they have already lost it, they continue to
create troubles to honest users, ezine publishers and
advertisers.
Spam filters are almost everywhere installed on the servers.
What are those spam filters? Software programs that
automatically analyze your message and score it for words
and phrases that are usually used in spam messages. Based
on a certain algorithm a spam filter decides whether or not the
intended recipient will receive a certain message.
Yes, they CENSOR your correspondence.
Shall you give up ezine advertising?
Do you stop breathing because there are viruses in the air?
Well, you only have to take care ...
Test your ad copy before starting the advertising campaign
and make sure you didn't use words or wordings that may trigger
those stupid spam filters.
Here are such words and wordings:
- MLM or Multi Level Marketing
- why pay more?
- get paid
- risk free
- guarantee
- see for yourself
- financial freedom
|
- one time rip off
- while you sleep
- what are you waiting for?
- no purchase necessary
- eliminate bad credit
- targeted traffic
- no questions asked
|
I won't continue the examples because there are too many ... but I will show you two simple and free tools that you can use:
Send an email message to the email address
spamcheck@sitesell.net having in the subject line the word
TEST (upper case) plus the headline of your ad copy.
The body of the message has to contain the ad copy itself.
Within minutes you will receive The Spam Check Report that is
an automatic answer containing an analysis made by a software
"thinking" like a spam filter.
Make the suggested changes to the content of your ad
in order to lower your score, and then try Spam Check again.
The second tool works in a very similar way. You have to send your
message to the email address SpamCheck@swiftpage.com
and instead of TEST the subject line of your message has
to begin with spTest. The rest is the same.
After you have corrected all your so called "mistakes" start
your advertising campaign.
Good luck!
