Having only a small amount of money to invest, I opened a shop ...
in the forest. Next door to the woodman, in a small
house where he allowed me to stay for free. [This was my first website. Free domain name & hosting]
I decided to sell some wooden products made by myself [These are some advertising packages] and then I was waiting the clients ... but nobody came.
I went to the woodman to ask him why he don't want
to buy anything from me. "You're not trustworthy",
he said, "You're a nobody and you even didn't have a
few money to build your own shop. You took from
me for free that small house!". [That's why I purchased my own domain name!]
Even when I was asking myself why nobody came, the
woodman appeared and wanted to buy from me some
apples. I didn't have any apple and he left my store. [ I signed up for some affiliate programs and I start
to sell also others' products.]
But still nobody came except the woodman who decided to purchase apples from me weekly.
It was a rainy day when I saw some people going to the
woodman's house. As they didn't stop to enter into my
shop, I went out and asked them "Don't you need anything
from my big store? Maybe a gift for the woodman ..."
"Look, man," said one of them, "don't ya see that is
raining and you don't have even one single road to
your shop? " [I submitted the website to the search
engines & directories and visitors began to find their
way to my website]
But still not enough clients ... Then I noticed that people
were trying to enter the shop, but the door was to heavy. [The website was not loading quickly and I removed all
the banners and unnecessary pictures.]
Trying to get more customers, I went to a village close to
my shop and there first person I met told me "I even didn't
know your shop exists! I never read about it in our newspaper". [So I understood that I have to advertise to make my web
site known]
